Current team dynamics and growth have combined to create an opportunity for an accomplished Assistant Manager or Manager to join their vibrant team in Auckland. 

This is a key management role. Some of the main duties an responsibilities include:

  • Managing workflows and client relationships
  • Assisting partners with business development and strategic planning
  • Managing and mentoring professional staff
  • Conducting performance reviews and personal development sessions with team members
  • Coaching and mentoring individual team members at various stages of their careers
  • Reviewing work papers and assisting team members with complex technical issues
  • Managing and overseeing the internal training requirements for your team
  • Various other operational and strategic ad hoc responsibilities

We are looking for a CA qualified accounting professional, member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, with a minimum of 5-6 years current experience in business services.

Preferably, we are searching for an accomplished professional who has at least 1-2 years supervisory or team management experience. NZ IFRS experience is another essential requirements at this level, together with proven client relationship management. 

Naturally you will have sound technical background and up-to-date knowledge of New Zealand tax and the Companies Act. Your interpersonal skills, commercial credibility and proven ability to communicate with your team in a positive and constructive manner will be critical for this role.
