We have an attractive new opportunity for a CA qualified or nearly qualified individual with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in business services.

Our client is a high-profile professional accounting and business advisory services firm - one of the leaders in the sector.

This is a North Shore based role offering unlimited potential for career development and work-life balance (North Shore style).

Some of the key duties and responsibilities defining this role include:

• preparation of year-end financial statements
• preparation of periodic tax returns
• budgeting and forecasting
• some reviewing and supervisory responsibilities
• gradually taking charge of a section of key clients and managing relationships with them
• participating in in-house training, guiding and helping junior staff with day-to-day queries
• various ad hoc responsibilities

In this role you will be part of a friendly and positive team where you will be encouraged to take on new professional challenges and advance your career further at your own pace and not when somebody leaves the team or is promoted to the next level. 

You will work directly with clients across various industries, not only on core compliance accounting and tax assignments, but also on special projects.

Your clients will have complex business structures across various entities, including companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders, investment funds, and individuals.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of clients and your own workflow.

The position is part of a dynamic team with an active social calendar and will suit an outgoing team player with a good sense of humour and proven ability to work well in a CA environment.

We are looking for a confident communicator with well-rounded technical skills and outstanding client-facing skills. Previous experience with group structures is preferred although not strictly required.

Current NZ tax knowledge and sound grounding in compliance is essential.

We are looking for a systems savvy individual with previous experience with Xero and MYOB.

This is a full-time permanent role that will be particularly attractive to a Big 4 or a mid-tier professional looking to advance their career closer to home.
