Our client is a reputable and well-established Chartered Accounting firm based in the wider Central Auckland area.

Due to internal team dynamics combined with sustained growth, we have a new opportunity for an articulate business services accountant with good work ethics to join this friendly and supportive team.  

We are looking for a strong senior accountant with a minimum of 4-5 years current experience in the field. 

At this level, you will have solid client accounting and tax compliance experience. Your technical forte will be in preparation of year-end financial statements, monthly management reporting and various tax types. 

You good systems skills will also come handy in this role. The role is client-facing and works closely alongside one of the directors, although, at times, you will work other directors depending on changing workflow requirements. 

The successful candidate will work with some of the firm's largest and most complex clients operating across various industries including property, investment, construction, retail, manufacturing and others.  

This role is varied and hard to define in a brief summary. However, some of the aspects of the role will include:

• Preparation of financial statements
• Monthly/management reporting
• Tax compliance (filing various tax returns such as Income Tax, GST, PAYE, FBT etc.)
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Advising and assisting clients with various systems issues/training/trouble shooting, etc
• Various other ad hoc duties and responsibilities
