(Ref SC9001) South Auckland based role - Strong brand with enviable reputation in the wider commercial sector – Full written position description and company profile available through SCI..
Our client is a high-profile commercial group at the forefront of several sectors and various service lines. The company has long and successful history in New Zealand and overseas and their unique culture is built on strong core values.
An early adopter of cutting-edge technology and new trends in their fields of expertise, this forward-looking organisation is synonymous with innovation and business success.
The group employs thousands of people in New Zealand and takes pride in its history of supporting the communities in which it operates.
Due to sustained growth (both organic and through acquisitions) the opportunity has arisen for a well-rounded generalist senior tax professional to join the Finance team.
This is a newly created role that requires the talents of a CA or CPA qualified tax professional with 3-5 years’ experience in a generalist Tax role. This role is unlikely to suit you, if you are in a specialist tax role.
Our ideal candidate is likely to have Big 4 or mid-tier experience, possibly as a senior tax consultant or an assistant manager/manager.
You may have some commercial experience or even be in a similar in-house role within a larger corporate and are looking for a change of scenery.
This is a varied role with compliance focus in the short term. Reporting to the Tax & Projects Manager, the role brings excellent potential for the right candidate to gradually broaden their technical scope and get involved in a wide range of advisory projects.
Our client is a technologically advanced organisation and the Finance team makes good use of the latest technologies in the industry.
Therefore, we are looking for a tax professional who is passionate about technology and will thrive in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
Naturally, at this level you will be able to work largely independently. Your research skills and ability to identify and resolve tax issues will be essential in this role.
This role will suit an articulate and organised individual who works well in a structured, policy and procedures driven environment.
This is an excellent long-term career opportunity that will provide you with impressive opportunities to develop further professionally and advance your career within a sough-after employer in the commercial sector.
