The opportunity
A rare senior leadership role has opened in the Rotorua office of a well‑established national advisory firm. Due to sustained growth and new opportunities for further expansion, the opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to join our client's BAS team in Rotorua. The incoming Associate Director will work closely with a long‑standing Partner.
This is a pivotal appointment for the firm: our client is seeking someone who can take ownership of a busy, sizeable and diverse client portfolio, lead a high‑performing team, and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of the practice.

Your leadership focus
- A busy and varied BAS portfolio spanning SMEs in agriculture, tourism, retail, property, and other industries.
- A capable and engaged team, with responsibility for coaching, development, workflow management, and performance leadership.
- Client relationships that require commercial insight, strong communication, and the ability to provide practical, forward‑looking advice.
- Growth initiatives that strengthen the practice—bringing a commercial mindset, identifying opportunities, and helping shape the future of the Rotorua office.
About you and what you will bring
- Senior‑level BAS experience (Senior Manager or Associate Director level).
- Proven capability in leading teams, managing complex portfolios, and delivering high‑quality advisory outcomes.
- A commercial, growth‑oriented approach - comfortable developing new opportunities rather than relying solely on existing clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with clients, colleagues, and the wider leadership group.
- The ambition and readiness to step into (a salaried Director initially) and an equity Partner role in the short term

Remuneration
