The opportunity

As an Intermediate or Senior BAS Accountant, you’ll work across a broad mix of clients and industries, providing accurate reporting, practical insights, and meaningful advisory support. You’ll be trusted to build relationships, think commercially, and contribute to solutions that help businesses grow, adapt, and perform.

This role offers variety, autonomy, and exposure to more than just compliance. You’ll be part of a team that values initiative, clear communication, and a genuine interest in helping clients make better decisions.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports, workpapers, and reconciliations
  • Delivering tax compliance work including income tax, GST, PAYE and FBT
  • Providing practical accounting and business insights that support client decision‑making
  • Working closely with clients to understand their goals and challenges
  • Supporting and developing junior team members as part of a collaborative, high‑performing team
  • Applying commercial thinking to complex situations and contributing to advisory projects

About the successful candidate

  • At least 2+ years’ experience in Business Advisory, client accounting, or public practice
  • Strong grounding in compliance and financial reporting
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting/Commerce and CA/CPA membership (or working toward it)
  • Proficiency with Xero, MYOB, Excel and common reporting tools
  • Strong organisational habits, analytical capability, and a client‑focused mindset
  • Confidence communicating with clients and contributing to practical solutions

Why this role deserves your attention

  • Clear progression pathways aligned to your capability and career goals
  • Supportive leadership that values development, initiative, and commercial thinking
  • Exposure to diverse clients across multiple industries
  • Balanced workloads and a culture that respects your time
  • Modern, cloud‑focused environment with strong systems and processes
  • A genuinely collaborative team where your contribution is visible and valued

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to step up, take on more responsibility, and build a long‑term advisory career in a firm that invests in its people.
