What you will be doing

Alongside preparing financial statements and tax returns, you will work directly with clients, providing practical advice across accounting, tax and wider business matters. You will be a key point of contact, and your clients will see you as trusted, proactive and commercially aware.

 

What we are looking for

A CA (CAANZ) qualified senior accounting professional with:

  • 5–6 years’ current or recent NZ CA experience
  • Strong hands‑on experience preparing annual accounts and tax returns
  • Proven client‑facing capability and confidence
  • Excellent time and workflow management skills
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and manage projects end‑to‑end
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Up‑to‑date NZ tax knowledge and a genuine interest in tax
  • Experience with Xero and MYOB products is ideal. The firm currently uses MYOB Accountants Office, MYOB Accountants Enterprise and Microsoft XP.
