The firm
Our client is a fast‑growing, multidisciplinary financial services firm. The firm operates out of stunning, modern offices in the heart of Auckland city. They offer a progressive, full‑service financial services environment that blends accounting, and various other financial advisory offerings under one roof.
Due to the firm’s multidisciplinary services, the BAS accountants here are offered broader commercial exposure than a traditional CA environment.
The firm has around 45 staff. The BAS team looks after a sizeable, high‑volume client base. Their client mix consists of property investors, high-net-worth clients and small‑to‑medium size businesses with typical annual turnover of $2m–$20m. The culture is young, energetic and highly collaborative.
Due to current team dynamics, we are looking to appoint two senior accounting professionals to strengthen the top of the team and help lead the next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
These roles sit at the senior end of the accounting function, above the senior accountants and intermediates, and just below the current accounting directors. You will play a key part in rebuilding the senior layer and shaping the future of the accounting team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- High‑volume reviewing (one role could be full‑time/or almost full-time reviewing)
- Technical oversight across compliance work
- Supervising, coaching and developing a team of 15-16 accountants
- Billable compliance work, with optional advisory exposure
- Cross‑functional collaboration with other service line teams
Acting as a “jack‑of‑all‑trades” supervisor (technical manager) in a multidisciplinary environment
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and wants to broaden their commercial skill set beyond traditional BAS.

About You
