The role
As an Intermediate BAS Accountant, you’ll work closely with senior team members to deliver accurate reporting, practical advice, and meaningful insights to a broad range of SMEs and family‑owned businesses.
Your day‑to‑day will include:
- Preparing financial statements and applying relevant accounting standards
- Supporting external reporting through workpapers, reconciliations, and job planning
- Producing management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Completing tax compliance work (income tax, GST, PAYE, FBT) and assisting with tax planning
- Identifying issues and contributing to practical business solutions
- Assisting with trust administration, Companies Office tasks, and working across common accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, APS/AO)
You’ll be supported by Managers and Partners who enjoy developing their people and giving them opportunities to stretch and grow.
About you
You’re developing your BAS capability and ready for a role where you can continue building confidence and technical depth. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Around 1–2 years’ experience in Business Advisory or a similar accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational habits
- A developing analytical mindset and willingness to learn
- A proactive, reliable approach and comfort working in a team environment
