The role

What you’ll be involved in
- Preparing financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work for a varied client base
- Supporting management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Contributing to advisory engagements and helping clients understand their numbers
- Providing on‑site accounting support when needed
- Reviewing work and coaching junior team members (Senior level)
- Working closely with senior leaders to deliver high‑quality outcomes
- Exploring smarter ways of working, including practical use of digital tools and AI
What you bring
- CA or CPA qualified (or progressing toward completion)
- At least 2 years’ experience in BAS within a NZ accounting environment
- Strong technical grounding in accounting and tax compliance
- Clear communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
- Curiosity about new technology and how it can improve efficiency and client value
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
