About the role

This is a typical generalist tax role where the successful candidate will work with SME businesses that operate across a broad spectrum of industries. The technical scope in this role is equally diverse and will see you exposed to projects involving compliance, tax structuring, international tax, risk management, and strategic planning. 

Gradually, you will be given full responsibility for a portfolio of clients while playing an increasingly important role in further growing the tax practice in the firm. 

 

Some of your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • preparation and reviewing of complex tax returns for companies, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals
  • delivering tailored advice on tax structuring, risk management, international tax, and transactions
  • keeping ahead of legislative and regulatory changes to guide clients proactively
  • managing client relationships and providing strategic, commercially minded advice
  • leading and mentoring junior staff to build technical expertise and client service excellence
  • driving continuous improvement in tax processes, systems, and client service delivery
  • identifying new opportunities for broader advisory services and value-add for clients
  • building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring seamless communication and top-tier service
  • supervising, training, mentoring, and supporting junior and intermediate consultants, fostering professional growth
  • monitoring and prioritising workflow to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
  • leading and contributing to internal projects that enhance firm-wide systems, productivity, and client experience
  • driving continuous learning and innovation, keeping ahead of industry and legislative changes.
