This is a well‑established, globally connected advisory firm with a strong presence in Auckland’s CBD. Their focus is simple: practical advice, strong relationships, and helping clients run better businesses. You’ll be joining a team that values clear thinking, commercial insight, and genuine collaboration.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant in the Business Advisory team, you’ll work with a varied portfolio of privately owned and mid‑market clients. Your work will go well beyond compliance — you’ll help clients understand their numbers, plan ahead, and make decisions that support long‑term performance.
You’ll be involved in a broad mix of advisory and accounting work, including:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements
- Management reporting, budgeting and cashflow forecasting
- Tax compliance, planning and structuring
- Business planning and performance analysis
- Supporting clients through operational and strategic challenges
- Managing engagements and building strong client relationships
- Assisting with trust matters, Companies Office requirements and cloud‑based accounting solutions
- Coaching and supporting junior team members
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful client interaction.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll thrive here if you enjoy working directly with clients and have a strong grounding in Business Advisory. Ideally, you’ll have:
- 3–5+ years’ experience in a CA or Business Advisory environment
- CA ANZ or ACCA qualification (or nearing completion)
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or similar
- Solid experience across financial statements, tax returns and management reporting
- Familiarity with Xero, MYOB and cloud‑based tools
- Strong communication skills and a confident, commercial mindset
- A proactive approach and interest in developing as a trusted advisor
Why This Role Stands Out
You’ll be joining a leading brand and a team that invests in its people - from technical development to advisory capability and leadership pathways. Expect exposure to interesting clients, support from experienced leaders, and opportunities to grow your career in a firm that values initiative and clear thinking.
If you’re looking for a role where you can deepen your advisory skills, build strong client relationships and make a tangible impact, we’d be keen to speak with you.
