About the roles
Our client is looking to add to professionals to their business services team – a senior accountant and an assistant manager/manager.
Some of the main duties and responsibilities defining these role include:
- financial reporting for larger group entities
- NZ IFRS reporting
- preparation of sets of accounts subject to external auditing
- group consolidations
- preparation of periodic Tax returns
- tax planning
- monthly/quarterly accounts
- acting as a first point of contact for your clients
- building and managing relationships with clients
- reviewing, supervising, managing and guiding less experienced team members
- KPI reporting and financial analysis
- budgeting and forecasting
- assisting clients with accounting systems
- various other ad hoc tasks and projects..
About the successful candidates
At the senior accountant level, we are looking for a CA or CPA qualified professional with sound grounding in all aspects of accounts preparation, management reporting and tax compliance.
At the upper end of the brief, we are looking for an accomplished assistant manager or a manager with well-developed client and team management competencies. Naturally, at this level you will be fully CA qualified and have strong technical grounding in financial and management reporting and tax.
NZ IFRS and group consolidations experience will be advantageous for the senior accountant role and essential for assistant manager/manager role.
