The Firm
Our client is a rapidly expanding financial services business offering a modern alternative to the traditional CA environment. Operating from premium offices in central Auckland, the firm brings together accounting, lending, insurance and other advisory services, giving clients a seamless, multidisciplinary experience.
The BAS function supports a substantial and diverse portfolio of clients, including property investors, high‑net‑worth individuals and SMEs typically ranging from $2m–$20m in turnover. With around 45 staff and a young, energetic culture, the firm is collaborative, fast‑paced and commercially minded.
As the team continues to grow, the firm is now seeking two Senior BAS Accountants to strengthen the senior layer and support the next stage of development.
The Opportunity
This is a senior‑level role designed for someone who is confident in both technical compliance and client relationship management. You’ll sit just below the accounting directors and play a key role in maintaining quality, supporting the team and ensuring clients receive exceptional service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading high‑volume review work (one position may be predominantly review‑focused)
- Providing technical oversight across accounting and tax compliance
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Coaching, guiding and developing a team of 15–16 accountants
- Delivering billable compliance work, with optional involvement in advisory projects
- Working closely with other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions

About You
You will excel in this role if you:
- Bring solid BAS experience at Senior Accountant, Reviewer or Assistant Manager level
- Are confident reviewing work and providing technical direction

- Have experience mentoring and developing junior team members
- Perform well in a high‑volume, fast‑moving environment
- Want exposure to a broader commercial setting beyond traditional CA firms
