Jobs Senior Manager/Associate Director - Business Advisory Services (Exclusive Role)

Location: Auckland - Rodney & North Shore
Work Type: Permanent Full Time
Reference: SC10623

Introduction

You are CA or CPA qualified Senior Manager with solid background in business advisory services in the context of multi-partner firm. You have proven team and client relationship management competencies and experience. Your technical skills are equally strong in both compliance accounting and tax and consulting.

You are keen to expand your technical scope and develop further your competencies in new areas (such as due diligence or business valuations, for example). You are likely to be working in a sizeable mid-tier or a big 4 firm in the city and would benefit from a move closer to home on Auckland's North Shore.

You are looking to take that decisive step in your professional career on the way to becoming an equity director, probably in the next 5 years.

If any of the above describes you then this opportunity may be just the perfect next career move for you.

About the firm

Our client has strong values, and their business philosophy can best be described as people centric. The firm has a long history of investing in the development and professional growth of the people working here.

The positive team-based culture is conducive to high professional standards and career development opportunities that are among the most attractive in the sector.

The people working here are the best ambassadors for this modern and constantly evolving organisation. The feedback we receive from the candidates we have placed here over the years has suggested that they are provided with top-notch internal and external training and management support.

The diverse clientele means that all professionals working in the firm get to work on a wide range of client engagements, from the traditional client accounting and tax compliance services to special projects involving business improvement, valuations, financial modelling, due diligence and other value-add assignments.

The directors are commercially savvy and are widely recognised as leading experts in their segment of the professional services sector. The firm has boasted one of the lowest staff turnover rates in the industry for more than a decade – an indicator, which is usually seen by recruiters and job seekers as one of the most relevant signs of high professional standards and consistent performance.

About this opportunity

The role is based in a handy North Shore location with easy access to motorways and comes with onsite parking. This is a viable career development alternative to a similar role within a big 4 or a larger mid-tier firm.

Some of the key duties and responsibilities include:

  • team management
  • client relationship management
  • high-end compliance assignments for some of the most complex group structures
  • complex client advisory projects involving financial modelling, tax planning, business valuations, due diligence and others.
  • assisting the directors with a range of strategic and operational responsibilities

Your client list will include SME's across all industry sectors with typical annual turnover ranging between $2 million and $50 million with some of the largest groups exceeding the upper end of this range. The role offers complexity and work scope that are hard to match in the current job market/ At the same time the culture and work environment will appeal to candidates looking for a 'less corporate' environment. In other words, our client’s work environment and culture are based on team work, management support, client-driven approach and work-life balance.
