Due to growth, the opportunity has arisen for a CA or CPA qualified senior business services accountant to join one of the teams in the firm. This is a varied role under a partner with a mix of predominantly sizeable and complex SME clients.
The successful candidate will work closely alongside the partners and managers in the firm, delivering a broad scope of client accounting, tax compliance and business advisory services to some of the firm’s largest clients.
Most of your clients will have annual turnover ranging between $10 million and $50 million with some of your larger clients turning over more than $100 million annually and requiring IFRS reporting. The size and complexity of your clients means that you will have exposure to various entities, including some large group structures.
Naturally, at this level you will be able to supervise and guide less experienced team members and be the first point of contact for key clients. Essentially, you will take over a portfolio of clients and manage their requirements and workflow associated with this section of entities. Therefore, we are looking for outstanding verbal and written communication skills for this key role.
Industry-wise, you will be exposed to various entities operating across most sectors including food, manufacturing, import, investments, property, technology, professional services and others.
The firm is a cloud-based, technologically advanced and has world-class internal systems and processes.
Our client is entering a succession planning mode for the next few years. Therefore, the practice offers a pathway to equity partnership for the aspiring. However, partnership aspirations are not a strict requirement for this role. This could also be seen as an excellent long-term career opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about working closely with a broad spectrum of successful businesses. Strong NZ tax and experience with FIF calculations would be advantageous for this role.
