They are seeking a Mandarin‑speaking BAS Assistant Manager or Manager to join their growing team in a modern city‑fringe office.

The Opportunity
In this position, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio, working closely with senior leaders and providing high‑value support to both local and Mandarin‑speaking clients. You’ll be involved in a mix of compliance, advisory, and commercial work, with the scope to shape client relationships and influence outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review financial statements, tax returns, and group reporting for SMEs, investment entities, and high‑net‑worth clients
- Lead and support advisory assignments including budgeting, forecasting, IFRS‑aligned reporting, and commercial analysis
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Mandarin‑speaking clients and stakeholders
- Oversee workflow, support junior team members, and contribute to process improvement
- Work closely with Partners on complex engagements and cross‑border matters
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ BAS experience within a New Zealand CA environment
- Strong technical capability across accounting, tax, and NZ IFRS
- CA/CPA qualified
- Confident communicator in both Mandarin and English
- Enjoys client interaction, problem‑solving, and taking ownership of outcomes
