About the role
Due to sustained growth and current team dynamics, our client is looking to add an accomplished senior business services accountant to their team.
Some of the main duties and responsibilities defining this role include:
- year-end financial reporting for larger group entities
- NZ IFRS reporting (advantageous but not a strict requirement)
- preparation of sets of accounts subject to external auditing
- group consolidations
- preparation of periodic Tax returns
- tax planning
- monthly/quarterly management accounts
- acting as a first point of contact for your clients
- building and managing relationships with clients
- reviewing, supervising, managing and guiding less experienced team members
- KPI reporting and financial analysis
- budgeting and forecasting
- assisting clients with their accounting systems
- various other ad hoc tasks and projects..
About the successful candidates
We are looking for a CA or CPA qualified professional with sound grounding in all aspects of financial accounts preparation, management reporting and tax compliance.
At this level, you will have solid grounding in compliance and at least some exposure to value-add assignments. If you do not have the advisory experience, our client is prepared to provide you with training, as long as you are keen to develop in areas such as business valuations, budgeting, forecasting, due diligence, financial analysis and others.
NZ IFRS and group consolidations experience, while not a requirement, will be advantageous for this role.
