Due to current team dynamics and sustained demand for the firm’s services, we have an excellent opportunity for a high-end intermediate accountant or a senior accountant to join the firm.
About the role
The key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- preparation of annual financial statements for larger group entities
- group consolidations
- NZ IFRS reporting
- preparation of sets of accounts subject to external auditing
- preparation of periodic tax returns
- tax planning
- monthly/quarterly accounts
- acting as a first point of contact for your clients
- building and managing relationships with clients
- KPI reporting and financial analysis
- budgeting and forecasting
- assisting clients with accounting systems
- various other ad hoc tasks and projects..
About the successful candidates
This newly created role will suit two groups of possible candidates:
- strong intermediate accountants with 3+ years current BAS experience looking for an opportunity to step up into a senior accountant role - now or in the short term. At this level, you will be in the final stages of your professional CA/CPA studies or may even be already fully qualified.
- an accomplished senior accountant with 4-5+ years current NZ CA experience in business services. Naturally, at this level you will be CA or CPA qualified accountant. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience with NZ IFRS and group consolidations.
We are looking for an articulate professional with proven client-facing skills and sound grounding in statutory reporting and tax compliance.
This role requires impeccable communication skills and ability to manage relationships at all levels with key large clients.
