About the role

This is a newly created role, in response to the increased demand for our client’s advisory services. In this role, your main focus will be on managing a section of key SME clients.

You will work directly with various entities, such as individuals (including high-net-worth individuals with multiple businesses), trusts, partnerships, companies and group structures with multi-million-dollar annual turnover.

In addition, you will be responsible for managing junior and intermediates team members and provide them with guidance and mentorship and they progress their career and achieve full CA or CPA designations. 

The role has strong advisory focus, which over time will be the main focus of the role. In addition to the wide ranging advisory projects, your other responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Preparation of taxation returns including Income Tax Returns, GST Returns, and FBT Returns, Monthly/management reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, business planning, etc.
  • Reviewing of financial statements, tax returns, tax opinions, management reports etc.
  • Providing systems advice to clients
  • Manage client enquiries and ensure time response to queries and problems
  • Manage accuracy and deadlines of services delivered to clients


About you

To be successful in this key role, you will need to have:

  • Full CA or CPA qualifications
  • A minimum of 5-6+ years’ experience in Business Services
  • Reviewing/team supervisory experience
  • Client and workflow management experience
  • Well-rounded systems skills and good working knowledge of MYOB and Xero
  • Advanced Excel and intermediate Word skills

This is a newly registered role available exclusively through SCI. While this is a permanent full-time role (standard full-time week of 37.5 hours), our client is open to consider suitably experienced and qualified professionals looking for a part time role - 25-25 hours per week. Flexible hours and work from home are also on offer with this opportunity.
