We are looking for a CA or CPA qualified senior accountant with a minimum of 4 years’ current NZ CA experience in business services. Our client is a medium sized firm with an established presence in New Zealand and international connections.

The opportunity has arisen for an articulate, self-driven professional to join one of the business advisory teams in a key senior accountant role with attractive potential. This is a multi-faceted role with initial focus on financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting and tax compliance. 

Due to the nature of the firm's clients and range of services, the successful candidate will gain gradual exposure to a wider range of projects and new technical areas.

This is a hands-on role with strong client focus and requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex accounting and business information to clients of various functional backgrounds and industries.

The successful candidate will have previous experience and good working knowledge of Xero. We are looking for a technically competent senior accounting professional or a client manager who will be the first point of contact for a section of key clients.

At the lower end of the range/brief for this role, we are prepared to consider strong intermediate accountants ready and able to step up into a senior accountant role. 

Your ability to establish and nourish successful relationships with a diverse range of clients and manage an ongoing workflow and act as a first point of contact for your clients will be crucial for this role. 

Previous reviewing/supervisory experience, while preferred, is not strictly required as long as you have the client/workflow management experience and meet all or most of the other requirements listed above.
