Our client is a smaller mid-tier Chartered Accountancy firm with three decades of successful history in the New Zealand. The firm offers Client Accounting, Business Advisory and Tax services to a broad spectrum of SME business.

Located in a vibrant Central Auckland location the firm has established strong presence in several specialist areas in their segment. At the same time, it is fair to say their clients are as diverse as their growing team.

Due to current team dynamics, the opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Services Administrator to join the team in a sole-charge role supporting the entire tax service line in the practice.

The role requires the talents of a well-rounded tax administrator with excellent time management and organisational skills.  The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day tax administration support function in the firm – working closely alongside the team.

Some of the key duties and responsibilities defining this role include:

  • Supporting the day to day needs of the Directors, the accounting team and clients
  • E-filing of Tax Returns
  • Preparation of Tax Reminders for all Provisional & Terminal Tax dates

This is a hands-role that requires previous experience in a similar role in a Chartered Accounting environment and sound understanding of the New Zealand Tax System. Alternatively, our successful candidate may be working in a similar role (on the other side of the equation) at Inland Revenue.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to think outside of the square are essential for this role.

We are looking for a friendly team player who enjoys supporting a team in a professional services environment. While we invite anyone who matches the selection criteria to apply, this role may be more appealing to a mature individual happy to work in this role long term.

Salary indication: $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
