The opportunity
As a Business Advisory Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients across SMEs, property groups, investment structures, professional services, and high‑growth businesses. You will lead engagements, manage workflow, review complex compliance, and deliver high‑value advisory work.
This role is ideal for someone who is ready to step beyond “business as usual” compliance and contribute more strategically to clients and the firm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and reviewing year‑end financial statements, tax returns, and complex group structures
- Leading client relationships and delivering proactive commercial advice
- Supporting clients with forecasting, budgeting, cashflow analysis, and management reporting
- Overseeing IRD matters, audit responses, and technical queries
- Supervising, coaching, and developing junior and intermediate staff
- Managing workflow, reviewing workpapers, and ensuring quality control
- Contributing to firm‑wide initiatives, process improvement, and advisory development
What we are looking for
We are seeking a confident, polished, and client‑focused BAS Manager who brings:
- CA or CPA qualification
- 7–10+ years BAS experience in a reputable CA environment
- Strong technical grounding across compliance, tax, and group structures
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate insights clearly
- Experience supervising and developing staff
- Commercial acumen and an interest in advisory, not just compliance
- Ambition to progress to Associate Director in the medium term and Director in the longer term
