The firm is expanding quickly, partnering with ambitious clients. Due to sustained growth, we are looking to add an Intermediate Accountant to our client's team in Central Auckland. Someone who wants to be part of a firm that moves with purpose.
What this role is really about
You’ll join a team that works closely with business owners, founders, and leadership teams across a wide mix of industries. Your work will stretch beyond compliance: you’ll help clients understand their numbers, make decisions with confidence, and plan for what comes next.
You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, contribute to complex engagements earlier than you might elsewhere, and play a hands‑on role in developing the firm's junior team. If you enjoy variety, responsibility, and the chance to influence outcomes, you’ll fit right in.
Your day-to-day impact
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and tax compliance for a diverse client portfolio
- Apply IFRS knowledge to ensure accurate, high‑quality reporting
- Provide practical insights that help clients improve performance and strengthen their operations
- Build trusted client relationships through clear communication and proactive support
- Mentor and guide junior accountants, contributing to their technical and professional development
- Manage workflow effectively to meet deadlines and deliver consistently high standards
- Contribute to internal improvement projects that enhance systems, processes, and client experience
What you’ll bring
- 2–4 years’ experience in a New Zealand accounting practice
- CA/CPA qualified or progressing toward completion
- Strong technical grounding and confidence using modern accounting technology
- A collaborative, solutions‑focused mindset
- Experience working directly with clients and delivering quality outcomes
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand on a full‑time basis
Why join this firm?
- Real progression: Work alongside leaders who invest in your development and open doors for advancement
- Forward-thinking environment: Innovation and continuous improvement are part of how we operate
- Meaningful work: Your ideas and contribution will influence clients, colleagues, and the direction of the firm
- Supportive culture: High-performing team, open communication, and a workplace that values initiative
If you’re ready for a role where you can grow quickly, take ownership, and contribute to something evolving and ambitious, our client is the place to do it.
