A newly available opportunity has opened for a capable Senior BAS Accountant to join a well‑established, North Shore–based chartered accounting practice. This is a key role within a collaborative team supporting a wide range of clients across multiple industries, including companies, groups, trusts, LTCs and HNWI's.
The role will suit a BAS professional who is quick, accurate, commercially aware, and confident managing client relationships. You’ll work closely with partners and senior leaders, gaining exposure to a broad mix of financial reporting, management accounting, tax compliance and advisory work.
About the role
- Preparing annual financial statements for companies, groups and trusts
- Monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Tax compliance across a variety of entity types
- Budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting
- Supporting valuations, due diligence and other advisory assignments
- Assisting clients with accounting systems (Xero, FYI)
- Acting as a first point of contact for your clients and building strong relationships
About you
- 4–5+ years’ current NZ CA experience in BAS
- Strong grounding in financial accounting, management reporting and tax
- Confident communicator with proven client‑facing skills
- Solid systems capability — Xero, FYI and strong Excel skills
- IFRS or group reporting experience is beneficial but not essential
- CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 per year, depending on experience.
