Our client is a growing mid-size accounting and business advisory services firm with international connections. 

The opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Chartered Accountant with proven experience at a Manager level to join the firm's growing team in Hamilton. 

This is a newly created role with strong focus on team and client relationship management. 

Working closely alongside and reporting directly to a Director, your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• managing a small team, including guiding, mentoring and supervising accountants at various levels
• reviewing client files, financial statements and tax returns prepared by your team; ensure consistently high output of your team 
• managing relationships with key clients and ensuring your team targets and deadlines are met consistently 
• assisting with a wide range of strategic and operational tasks 
• preparing financial statements and income tax returns
• providing accounting and taxation advice for all client entity structures
• preparing budgets and forecasts
• ensuring all communication with clients is  timely and accurate
• assisting a director with a broad range of practice and team management responsibilities 
• various other ad hoc operational and strategic tasks and projects

At this level you will be CA or CPA qualified, with proven experience in all aspects of client accounting, tax and business advisory. 

Previous experience with team management and client relationship management is essential for this role.

NZ CA experience (preferably within a Big 4 or a mid-tier firm) in business advisory is another important requirement.

The firm works with a variety of businesses entities across many industries, including manufacturing, construction, wholesale, property and professional services to name a few.

 

This role is available exclusively through SCI in Auckland.
