Our client is a boutique CA firm with a loyal and diverse client base. Located in a handy Central Auckland location, the firm has established strong niche presence in the SME segment.
The practice has grown impressively over the past 25 years and boasts an impressive client list of a broad spectrum of entities operating across many industries. The majority of the firm’s clients are in the $5mil-$10mil annual turnover range although there are several clients with significantly higher revenues.
The team structure is relatively flat, and the culture can best be described as relaxed, flexible and supportive.
Our client is fully cloud-based and makes good use of modern technologies. The firm’s work environment is likely to appeal to candidates who prefer a quitter office where team members focus on getting things done and going home to spend more time with their family/friends/loved ones and pursue other activities.
If you are into office Friday drinks, team pub events and are looking for a noisy office with a busy social and sporting calendar, this is not the right environment for you.
Sustained growth, current team dynamics and a new revenue stream resulting from the acquisition of several new large clients have created the need for a senior business services accountant to join the team. This is a newly created role that requires the talents of a CA/CPA qualified accountant with a minimum of 4-5 years or more current (or recent) NZCA experience.
The role reports to the managing director and requires previous reviewing experience and proven client servicing competencies and good grounding in financial accounting, management reporting and tax compliance. Another important item on our client's brief for this role is solid NZ tax knowledge and experience.
The role has equity directorship potential for the aspiring in the long term. However, we would be keen to hear from suitably experienced professionals who don't necessarily have equity aspirations. This can equally be seen as the ideal long-term opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking for a flexible and supportive family-like environment.
Naturally, at this level you will possess excellent written and verbal communication and client-facing skills.
